Going Somewhere?

You know we LOVE traveling here at C & A Camp, so we are very pleased to introduce the
Stephanie Johnson travel collection.
"You may be a UN Ambassador or just spend weekends at your boyfriend’s, but either way, the Stephanie Johnson collection will speak to the organizer and style siren you aspire to be."

Something to talk about:  Stephanie Johnson 'Catherine Clutch' featured on the TV show Gossip Girl!

Come in today to see the collection; exclusively in Charlottesville:

Bring Us to Brussels!

Belgium is quite the special place to Carlin and her children*.  (*What word does one use for 'children' when said kids are now 23 and 19??)
The city of Brussels holds some of the world's treasures, indeed.  Here are some amazing places and favorite spots of the Camp family.

Where to stay:
Hotel Le Dixseptième
(lovingly referred to by the Camps as the 'Harry Potter Hotel')
Ideally located between the Grand Place and the Central Station, only steps away from museums and art galleries, Le Dixseptième is a luxurious and serene oasis in the historical heart of Brussels.

(stay where Carlin did; in the two-story "superior suite")

Shopping is always a priority when traveling, yes?  While in Brussels, you must make a stop at the
Saint-Hubertus Royal Gallery

It was here, some years back, that Carlin purchased her beloved diamond flower earrings.  And do not forget to have some chocolate here -- it is the best in the world.  Diamond earrings and delicious chocolate....ahhhh... what could be better?

Who doesn't love the funnies?  Make an effort to see the Belgian Comic Strip Center!
Facade du centre belge de la bande dessinée

The BELGIAN COMIC STRIP CENTER

In the land of Smurfs and Tintin, visitors can discover a range of permanent exhibitions, illustrated with original comic strip drawings and unique objects. Simultaneously, there are also several temporary exhibitions on display.
But the Belgian Comic Strip Center is also the former Waucquez Warehouse, a gem of Art Nouveau by grand master Victor Horta (1906). Open every day (except on Monday) from 10 am to 6 pm.

A visit to Brussels would not be complete without seeing the ever-famous Manneken Pis!
The Manneken Pis was designed by Jerome Duquesnoy and put in place in 1618 or 1619.  The famous statue is located at the junction of Rue de l'Étuve/Stoofstraat and Rue du Chêne/Eikstraat.'

Isn't he cute?

Island Hopping

Yes, we know, autumn in Central Virginia is beautiful.  However....we love the islands this time of year and want to dash off to paradise.

How does Barbados sound?

More precise -- how does Sandy Lane Resort sound?  Let's have a look, shall we?

From here, we'll jaunt over to Petit St. Vincent.  I believe this is what heaven looks like.

Next up:  Spice Island Beach Resort.... even the name sounds exotic and sexy.

Heading to St. John?  (God, don't we LOVE St. John??)  Rent this villa.  It is the best of the best....

If you can tear yourself away from St. John, head up to Harbour Island and Pink Sands Resort:

Quite apropos that we end our excursion at Bitter End Yacht Club.

Realizing there are many, many resorts and gorgeous spots in the Caribbean, you might wonder how these were selected to be featured.  Well, Carlin's been to all of these....and she knows what she's talking about.
